Crab and Pasta salad recipe

Crab and pasta salad recipe a delicious pasta crab recipe for the summer. Tender pasta with crabmeat combined with celery and red onions form a great combination for summer or spring quick meal. Enjoy our fast and easy pasta and crab recipe for the day.

You will need the following ingredients to your crab pasta salad:

Salt - 1 pound farfalle pasta - 3/4 cup mayonnaise - 1/4 cup lime or lemon juice - 1/4 small red onion - 1/4 head green cabbage - 2 ribs celery - 1 pound lump crabmeat or peeled cooked shrimp - dried red pepper flakes of freshly ground black pepper.


Start your crab pasta salad recipe by bringing salted water pot to boil, then add pasta & cook until tender but still firm to bite. (About 10 minutes)


In a food processor blend mayonnaise, lime juice, and red onion. Process until onion is pureed into the mayonnaise. Transfer into large mixing bowl. Cut cabbage into fine shreds then add them to mixing bowl. Trim the celery and cut into 1/4-inch dice, and add them to the crab pasta salad mixing bowl. Add crabmeat carefully and toss all ingredients together, then season to taste with salt and pepper.

Drain pasta thoroughly, add it to mixing bowl and toss for ingredients to combine then serve warm.

Note: If you prefer to serve your crab pasta salad cold, then you can drain pasta well then add it to the crab pasta salad mixture and chill for about 2 hours.

For extra zip to your pasta & crab salad recipe, add 1 tsp. of Dijon mustard to the mayonnaise mix and some chopped bell pepper. Be creative in your pasta crab salad dish add a variation of ingredients if you wish ( Ex: smoked salmon slices, some yellow sweet corn, black olives or some fresh chopped parsley or chopped chives). Crab pasta salad recipe can be served with croutons.
